HOW MUCH SHOULD I TAKE?
Most patients can easily start with a basic titrations such as:
Week 1: 1 capsule every other day (see how you feel – if fine, proceed to week 2 dosing)
Week 2: 1 capsule per day (again, see how you feel and proceed if tolerating)
Week 3: 2 capsules per day taken together at the same time
Sensitive, chronically ill or autoimmune patients with IBD should follow a slower titration such as:
Week 1: 1/4 capsule every other day (see how you feel, if okay proceed to week 2 dosing)
Week 2: 1/2 capsule every other day (again, watch for reactions and proceed if okay)
Week 3: 1 capsule every other day (most people feel better when they get to this dose)
Week 4: 1 capsule per day (now you should be well on your way, proceed if tolerating well)
Week 5: 2 capsules per day both taken together at the same time
WHEN SHOULD I TAKE MEGASPORE?
To get the most out of your MegaSpore, always take with or about 15 minutes after food, preferably with your largest or most diverse meal of the day
HOW DO I TAKE 1/4 OF A CAPSULE?
Great question! Most people find it easy to open the capsule and sprinkle a portion of its contents directly onto the tongue. It can also be added to food or water.
CAN I EXPERIENCE ADVERSE REACTIONS?
MegaSpore is potent! Although there aren’t any true side effects, the issue with a powerful spore based probiotic is that it will literally start killing off and eliminating what shouldn’t be in your gut. We typically refer to this as “die-off” and yes, it can be uncomfortable for some, initially.
The most common symptoms are gas and bloating. Now, I know many of you already have gas and bloating so it’s hard to tell what’s what. If at any time during your induction phase you feel too gassy or bloated, you may back down to your previous dose.
Additionally, die off can cause loose stool. In this case, you may also want to back down to your previous dose.
On rare occasion, MegaSpore will shift you toward constipation. This is where you may consider increasing your dose. The constipation phase usually only lasts for about 5 days. Increasing the dose will just make it pass quicker. Many cases of life-long constipation have been resolved after getting through this initial induction phase.
You are allowed some degree of self monitoring and self adjustment as you work your way up to 2 capsules per day. If at any time you have discomfort beyond what you think you should be tolerating, back down or contact Dr Lisa.
WHAT IF I HAVE SIBO?
SIBO patients are a very unique population. Every case is different and the best idea is to discuss this with Dr Lisa. Sometimes MegaSpore is started at the beginning of treatment, especially if you’ve already taken antibiotics or herbal antimicrobials. Other times, we may wait until we get a clean breath test to start introducing it. When someone starts MegaSpore, it can cause symptoms similar to SIBO, and SIBO patients may have a tendency to think their SIBO is returning. But you have to remember, SIBO patients have a colon too, and MegaSpore will undoubtedly cause some die off in the colon which may feel a lot like SIBO.
DOES MEGASPORE NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED?
No, MegaSpore is unlike other probiotics that do not tolerate fluctuation is temperature. It is very stable and does not require refrigeration.
CAN KIDS TAKE MEGASPORE? WHAT ABOUT PREGNANT OR NURSING WOMEN?
Yes, yes and yes! It is fantastic for a developing microbiome.
IS THERE ANYONE WHO SHOULD NOT TAKE MEGASPORE?
Yes, those who have undergone organ transplant should not take MegaSpore. It offers potent immunomodulating effects that can interfere with the immunosuppressive drugs.

Your product will come directly from the manufacturer, Microbiome Labs. Allow for one week, they do a very high volume and ship as quickly as possible, but it is not a quick turn around.
